CHS 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Have a look at minimum eligibility criteria for CHS admission 2023:

Class VI

• Qualification: Candidates should have passed class V exam from a recognized school.
• Age Criteria: The age of candidates must be in between 10 to 12 years as on 30^th September 2023. It means, they must not be born before 30^th September 2011 and after 30^th September 2013.

Class IX

• Qualification: Candidates should have passed class VIII exam from a recognized school.
• Age Criteria: The age of candidates must be in between 13 to 15 years as on 30^th September 2023. It means, they must not be born before 30^th September 2008 and after 30^th September 2010.

Class XI

• Qualification: Candidates should have passed class 10 exam from a recognized board or university with recommended percentage (Science: Minimum 60% plus 50% marks in Science and Math each, Commerce: Minimum 55% marks, Arts: Just passed class X)
• Age Criteria: The upper age limit for class XI is 18 years as on 30^th September 2023. It means candidates must not have born before 30^th September 2005.

Banaras Hindi University may follow the criteria shared below for admission to Central Hindu Girls’ School (CHGS) and Central Hindu Boys’ School (CHBS) in 2023.

BHU SET entrance test used to be conducted before 2022 for admission to Central Hindu Girls’ School (CHGS) and Central Hindu Boys’ School (CHBS) . If CHS admission in 2023 follows the last year pattern then selection criteria will be as follows:

Class VI and IX: Admission to class VI and class IX will be offered through E-lottery

Class XI: Admission to class XI would be based upon candidates’ performance in class X board exam.

The Banaras Hindi University will not send any separate call letter for attending CHS admission 2023 counselling. The lottery result and merit list will be available to check at the official website of Banaras Hindu University www.bhuonline.in.

Candidates should check their rank in the merit list and ensure they are eligible for attending the counselling session.

• Last school leaving certificate

BHU CHS Syllabus & SET Exam Pattern 2023

• Question Booklet containing the questions and a separate Answer Sheet
• The question paper will consist of MCQs.
• The candidate needs to check the question paper booklet if it holds the total no. of papers mentioned and is required to write his/her Roll Number, Question Booklet No. and Set No., if any, at the appropriate places provided in the answer sheet.
• Only the Ball Point pen can be used by the students.
• The answer will be considered incorrect if more than one oval is darkened.
• Any other method of marking such as tick mark, cross mar BHU SET 2023, use of dot, line mark, and half-filled oval or marks outside the oval shall not be evaluated.
• The inner cover page of the Question Booklet or the blank space/page at the end of the Question Booklet may be used for rough work.
• If a candidate is found tearing any page from the Question Booklet, he/she shall be liable to punishment for adopting unfair means and shall not be allowed to continue in the Entrance Test.
